ButterflyAs I am born, the caterpillar emerges from its egg
As I experience life, the caterpillar eats its leaves
As I fall in love, the caterpillar swells in size
As I struggle through love, the caterpillar wraps itself into a cocoon
As you let me go, the cocoon breaks
As I let you go, it emerges as...
A bigger caterpillar, bound hard by the earth
But able to eat more, as I am now able to enjoy more of life
I won't forget you, you are the tree the caterpillar feeds from, always there
But one day I'll fall again, the caterpillar will make its cocoon
And that caterpillar will become a butterfly
And I will have found love that is returned
