I threw a baseball in the AIRAnd told you that if you didn't catch it
I would die
Then you nearly killed me
Knocking me over, trying to
catch that baseball
It landed just out of your reach
And you turned back and
saw me on the ground
Blood on my leg
From a rock
I landed on
And from a verge of tears
It became a full cry
You buried your face in your hands
Then you felt me
Your head on my chest
held in my arms
"Sorry," I say
I get a punch to the gut
You smile laugh and cry
I pick up the baseball
And I throw it to the other side
of the ocean
