I was watching The Little Mermaid, and so i felt like drawing Ariel....of course i couldn't draw her in her usual style, coz her whole design, what with the knees and the wierd frill thing and flimsy tail.....it just ain't my kind of mermaid.So here she is in more my style, and I drew Flounder a bit more fish-like also. All my pencils have gone walkabouts, so she was coloured digitally...haha the background is so scribbly!

This is such a cool idea! I totally love your style. Ariel's tail looks a lot more realistic (and better) with the little fins and the scales just becoming skin on her waist... Yup, that's great!

i really like this...the little mermaid is my favorite movie, but i never much cared for disneys take on the mertails. i really like your more realistic take on it

I like your more aquatic version of Ariel with the fishier tail and the fins. Fingerwebbing would complete the look!
