Description
According to Grenoll’s legends, the world began in darkness–one occupied only by the gods. Pained by this solitude, the Goat God began to create inhabitants. Creatures of all shapes and sizes began to roam the earth, and of every one did the Goat God become fond. He cared for them, and reared them as equals in companionship.
The Raven God, jealous as he was duplicitous, began to approach these new creations. With silver words he drew them near, and one by one stole the lives the Goat God had created. In their stead he conjured a host of demons made in his own image. With them, he attacked the Goat God, seeking to plunge the world back into darkness.
But upon the Goat God’s death, the remnants of his creations–all bled of life–began to stir. Slowly, they joined together–wings and claws, fangs and hooves–and the Goat God was born anew.
The Breath Bringer destroyed the Raven God, and allowed life to surge back into the land before ascending into the sky to provide light for all as the sun. It is from this deity that humans first appeared. Crafted in the image of the Breath Bringer, they are tasked with cultivating and caring for the life their god left them.
