Woooot, finally done!
I tried so many new things here. (Evidently.)
Half of the lineart was done traditionally - and man, seriously, it worked so efficiently for me. Gonna do this more often.
Next up is part 2 of the intermission, and then the conclusion to the Burned Tower story! Stay tuned, peeps.

Dat mythology is golden. Honestly, I was never a big fan of Gen 2 because I found them to be extremely lacking story-wise, so to add this kind of depth to everything makes it a lot more intriguing. It's gripped me already and I'm excited to see more bb.

Yeah it made little sense to me, so it's cool to see ya expanding on it and making it interesting. Like I didn't really "feel" any parallels between Lugia and Ho-oh, design-wise or mythology-wise. They felt so separate to me and it felt really detached. At least you get land/sea, space/time, black/white, & life/death in the later games to play with, there's just so much open-endedness to Johto's storyline that makes it feel empty. #rantover lol

Yeeah, now that you mention that, it's so true! And not just the lack of parallelism, but somehow the plot of the games was divided - the lugia/ho-oh plot arc had no connection to the Team Rocket plot arc whatsoever. It's a good thing we writers get the liberty of creative license ;D

Yeah, and the sad part is that keeping the plots disconnected - but both interesting - would've been great imo but it was suuuuch a sloppy and bland missed opportunity. One reason why Gen 2 is my least favorite... But meh, I'm ranting again sorry lol. And yes, definitely! It's always my favorite part of a nuzlocke comic: to see how the writer spins the story and makes it their own, and you're doing a great job on that.
