Description
When the parks service started cleaning up the ransacked remains of the Mount Lowe Railway, they literally had to hire a helicopter to pull these traction motor assemblies off the side of the mountain. This small display was pieced together in the 90's from remains scattered all over the mountainside. This is the only complete section of track with rails gauged properly, though not original.
