One of Gresley's lesser known designs. Much like the V2's, the V4's were just as capable on passenger trains as they were on goods trains.

If any of you haven't heard, the Darlington Locomotive Works (A1 Trust/P2 Steam Company) has big plans after P2 Mikado No. 2007 'Prince Of Wales' is built. Firstly, they will be receiving their own charter train, which will be made out of British Rail MK 3 coaches. Now comes the big news. They have two new-builds on the way after Prince is complete. The first is an LNER V4 2-6-2 Prairie, and the second is an LNER V3 2-6-2T Prairie Tank.
