Description Today, May 19th, 2018, marks the very first official run of Bridgton & Saco River #7, for the first time since 2003. The engine had an easy job, handling a 4 car train of coaches. Monson #3 was in steam as well, pulling another 4 car train, though hers involved both the SR&RL combine and caboose.
As I walked along the route, I couldn't help but feel happy. A lovely echo rang through the air, filled with #7's Lonergan 3 Chime, #3's B&M 6 Chime, and most recognizable of all, #7's CNR 5 Chime. #7 was wearing two whistles on this day, and rightfully so, considering how special this Steamfest was.
Several of my fellow WW&F volunteers were present for this event as well, and as I was talking to them, I think three words I said can sum up the thoughts of all enthusiasts that came to welcome this old Baldwin veteran.

"She is gorgeous."
