Description
This is Vitalis, the central core of Memory. It's the bot that keeps the city from crashing into anything too big (planets, moons, suns etc.), it sends out repair people to fix anything on the ship, and it controls the gravity, atmosphere and ecosystems of the city. It is secluded from the entire city, to the point where only its makers (and anyone related to them, or any trusted creations by them) are allowed to come near it. It doesn't move from the core building, or physically interact with anything or anyone. It remains in the one spot and only responds to questions via text on its screen. It is connected to the entire station, so wherever the ship is damaged, it will send out the appropriate people to solve the problem.

Ripley is one of the trusted bots who can "interact" with Vitalis, and Ricardo is one of the people who worked on it to make Memory.
