Layla woke up and remembered that she was in Blake's room. She rose from the bed and stretched, her aching muscles feeling a lot better from yesterday. She stepped out of the room and found Blake passed out on her couch. She was still in the same clothes as when Layla first met her, but her right arm's bandages were now bleeding. Oh no, Layla thought, what happened? She quickly made her way towards the front of the couch, kneeling in front of Blake with concern.
"Blake? Blake, wake up," Layla began shaking Blake's sleeping form.
"Hm? What's going on?" Blake mumbled, slowly waking up. Layla looked panicked when Blake finally came to. It made Blake feel a bit nervous, thinking that an Ire may have come back.
"That's what I want to know! Why are you hurt?" Layla asked quickly, still shaking Blake to get up.
"What? I am?" Blake asked in confusion. She didn't recall getting hurt or feeling any pain. What's up with her, she wondered.
"Tell me if a bloody right arm means you aren't hurt," Layla replied incredulously. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Blake was visibly bleeding from what seems to be a serious injury and she wasn't the least bit concerned?! Layla pointed towards Blake's bloody arm for emphasis as said girl slowly got to her senses. Finally noticing the bloody bandages, Blake's eyes widened in surprise as she rushed towards a cabinet for medical supplies. Finally she understands, Layla breathed a sigh of relief.
"How did that happen though?" Blake asked herself aloud as she pulled out a medical kit, "It wasn't like this yesterday." It must have been because that was my first Calling, she finished her thoughts inwardly, I remember hearing about how some Knights found their tattoos bleeding after their first Calling. Whatever it was, she couldn't afford to let Layla know what she was. It has to be a coincidence that I found her after receiving my first Calling, Blake thought, I can't confirm whether or not she's-.
"Blake? Are you alright?" Layla called out to Blake, who had been crouched for a while now. Blake snapped out of here temporary trance as she brought out the medical kit to tend to her bleeding arm. One thing for sure though, Blake decided, I can't let her know unless I get some sort of confirmation.

The weekend ended smoothly and on Sunday night, Blake escorted Layla back to the dorms of their school as she had promised before. Blake kept a nervous eye on Layla, noting the many times the girl would glance in all directions as if she thought that she would be attacked like that night. Layla was on edge; the memory and the terror she felt was still fresh on her mind. It wasn't something so easily forgotten or dismissed. Neither girl wished to speak to the other on the matter either from fear of awkward intrusion of private matters. Layla didn't know how to even begin describing what it was like, and Blake felt that it wasn't in her place to ask so suddenly. On top of those reasons, both girls had just met one another albeit the circumstance, making things even more awkward. Fun fact of that: upon trying to get to know each other earlier in the day, the two found out that they were in the same junior class in school. How awkward for one to have never known the other existed until two nights ago.
"Well, this is it," Layla broke their pregnant silence once they made it to the front doors of the girl's dormitory. It was a five story building streaked with the school colors of black and red with some other colors to make it prettier and less scary at night. Blake nodded and took a step back from walking side-by-side with Layla while flashing her a smile.
"Didn't think the dorms were so close to my apartment," Blake commented blankly. Retracing their path from her apartment to the dorms, Blake came to realize that they were only three minutes apart from each other. How is it that I always found the dorm to be so far yet it's so close by, Blake wondered to herself in slight awe.
"Yeah. It looked so far away that night," Layla replied absentmindedly, staring at the front door. To think that the entire escapade that night could have just taken only three minutes, Layla's thoughts wandered. She didn't feel as though it was so short, yet here the evidence stood before her on how exactly she could have run. The tree that she had tripped over was only a minute away from the dorms and the alley where Blake found her unconscious from was only three minutes away from her room. It seemed so surreal, but she knew she had to accept the truth in front of her.

"LAYLA!" A female scream erupted from the dorm entrance. Blake slightly jumped at the sound of Layla's name as a another girl ran from the dorm and tackled her to the ground in happiness. Layla felt the wind leave her lungs as she crashed onto the ground with the new girl on top of her.
"Come on Amber. Get off of me," Layla struggled to say, "You can see that I'm fine."
"That's great and all but you didn't even call me! You had me worried sick!" Amber cried, getting off of Layla. Blake just looked rather dumbstruck; she had never imagined that people the same age as her could seem so...
"Oh! Right! I'm so sorry about that!" Amber quickly apologized after realizing Blake was staring at them, "It's just that I'm her roommate and I found her missing from our room and it was trashed and-"
"Easy there, calm down. I know what happened. She was staying with me to recover that's all," Blake replied, "I found her Friday night collapsed in the rain and let her stay with me to recover a bit."
"Yeah, so sorry Amber. I wasn't thinking at all to call you at the time," Layla quickly apologized. Amber shook her head violently and helped Layla to stand on her feet.
"It's fine, just as long as your okay," Amber replied happily. As she looked over to Blake to thank her once again, but lost her words and just began to stare. Both Layla and Blake seemed rather confused at Amber's sudden quiet nature. Layla was about to ask when Amber began to scream on the top of her lungs, jumping up and down in excitement as if she had just met a celebrity.
"Amber?! Calm down! What's going on?!" Layla tried to placate her suddenly hyperactive friend. Said friend seemed to have forgotten Layla existed for that moment as she pointed at Blake while smiling and laughing (I'm guessing fangirling) as if she had just won a lottery. Finally after a few more cringe-worthy moments, Amber finally calmed down enough to speak, although from all the excitement from whatever made her so happy to see Blake she couldn't quite remember how to breathe properly.
"Y-y-your Blake, right? As in Blake Ryden?" Amber suddenly asked. The question caught Blake off-guard, but she nodded nonetheless. Amber began to smile and began giggling giddily again, thankfully being restrained by a very surprised Layla.
"How do you know my full name, if you don't mind me asking, Amber?" Blake asked out of curiosity. Layla was wondering the same. Considering this was the first time Amber met Blake, how was it that she knew about Blake? On top of that, why didn't she say anything about being in the same class as her?

"Well I thought that would be obvious. You're the girl crush of the school," Amber stated almost matter-of-factly, "You're famous for being known as every girl's crush."
"Uh..." Blake droned, speechless and in awe. Amber had just said that almost nonchalant about something she didn't realize was something that was talked about in the school. Is that really what people think of me, Blake couldn't wrap her head around it.
"Well, it's getting quite late and we all have school tomorrow," Layla spoke up suddenly, trying to break the awkward mood, "Blake, thank you so much for caring for me this weekend. Is there a way I can repay you?"
"Oh no that's quite alright," Blake replied automatically, feeling rather modest for her actions, "I couldn't just leave you laying there. Don't worry about it. Just be careful from now on; how's that sound?" Layla cracked a comforting smile, to which Blake returned.
"Sure thing. See you tomorrow at school?" Layla asked as Blake turned to leave. Blake turned her head towards Layla and cracked a smile before continuing on her way with a wave of her hand. Layla huffed a laugh and turned towards the dorms again to find Amber covering her mouth and her face blushing beet red.
"Um, Amber? You okay?" Layla asked in confusion. Amber nodded meekly.
"Now I know why she's the rumored girl's crush," Amber quietly stated, breathing a sigh of admiration, "She's so cool and gentlemanly. And that smirk? Hoo..."
"Oh okay we're heading back inside before I have you fainting here on the floor," Layla sighed hurriedly as she pushed Amber along towards their room. Past the central staircase and breaking off to the right side towards a long hall, Layla and a still-swooning Amber arrived at Room 210; Layla's home away from home. Since her parents lived overseas, she had to apply for housing. Luckily, Amber was her friend ever since middle-school, so when the two needed housing it was obvious who their roommates would be. Amber crashed on the couch upon entering the compact yet comfortable dorm room. Upon entering the room, on the left was a short hallway leading to a simple bathroom with shower separate from the toilet. There was an open kitchenette to the immediate left of the front door which led straight to a simple living room with a L-shaped white sofa and coffee table to match. A flat screen TV hung against the wall opposite of the sofa, and to the right of that TV was another door leading to bunk beds where the two girls slept. Layla headed straight into their bedroom and changed into her pajamas before laying on the bottom bunk. She sighed, recalling everything that happened over the weekend as well as what took place earlier. She felt that she wanted to see Blake again, and through her exhaustion, fell asleep clinging to that thought.
