There should be no PREJUDICE to those who love differently from others.

There should be no REPULSION of such a fun and lively community comprised of such amazing individuals.

There should be no IGNORANCE of sexual orientation and how a person lives with it.

There should be no DEROGATORY comments about those who can finally live and love openly without restraint.

There should be no EXCUSE for why people need to conform to the ways that "normal" people live.

All people were created equally. We are different individually from one another, but we are made the same. Our skeletons are the same, our muscle structure as well as our organs are the same as well. We function like everyone else, we have the same emotions. We can be happy, feel sadness, suffer and revel in life's daily struggles to hinder us. We have PRIDE in who we are. Who we become. How we leave our legacy.

All people have these similar thoughts. There is no difference in these instinctive aspects of human beings.

The same should be said for our hearts. We all love something and someone. It can be family, friends, or a significant other. So why is it that it took humanity such a long time to understand that some people love something different from the supposed "norm?" Why was it wrong for a man to love another man or for a woman to love both men and women alike? Why did society see something like this as "wrong" or "disgusting" when these same people purely just love for the sake of love?

The answer is: the shouldn't have, and 2015 was the year this kind of thinking finally began to decline.

Nowadays, some of people who have hidden themselves for so long can now openly live as who they are, no longer hiding away their feelings and living life to the fullest and best that they can. Although there are still those in hiding, at least they know that the world is now working on accepting them as someone who will not be discriminated for their sexual orientation. Even though there are still those who still follow that toxic way of thinking that it is wrong or disgusting, there are now thousands of others who will defend the ones getting hurt.

There were plenty instances prior to 2015 that regular individuals defended those in the LGBTQ+ community. To those individuals, your actions will forever be remembered. This community has grown and flourished so much through all the hatred and the malicious attacks. And now, with legal marriage, they are becoming much more appreciated just as they deserve. Now, PRIDE parades are no longer seen as rallies to have LGBTQ+ rights but fun events where people can fully enjoy themselves and celebrate the joys of living the way you wish to and loving the ones you want to love.

PROUD of who you are, regardless of what others say or think about you.
RESPECTFUL for those whose morals differ from your own.
IDEALIZE a future where all human beings are happily in love with whom they choose to love.
DETERMINE to stay strong when you feel the world against you.
EDUCATE the future of the knowledge of the past and present.

And that's the way we live now, and how we should be living for the rest of humanity.
