"My dearest Lyria,
Please take this magnifying glass, the mirror, and the chocolate (I know how you love that brand, they have that rice paper wrapping...) as a token that I am yet alive. I have not been killed, but I must tell you that you should not consider me alive. I have no way of returning. Farewell, my child.
Please do NOT use the magnifying glass at any cost. Especially take care that you do not look into a mirror with it. I have said too much, but let me just say that this device has something to do with why I am damned away from you, my loving family. You are after all my only child left, and without your mother we are few, but still a family. I knew that you would be hurt more than anything with news of my going missing. But please know that I am alive and you are not alone. I admonish you to not attempt to find me, as I am not in any place that can be reached. I only wished to let you know that you are not yet an orphaned woman.

That is what the note said, wrapped around a tiny canister and tied with a bow. It somehow appeared in the mirror, in the downstairs servant quarters. Some of the other servants say that it is where a young woman used to have her room, but it has been decades since that family lived here. Indeed, says the washer woman who works with you day in and day out (Elanda) the family was pronounced dead. Not only the father, but the daughter too, also went missing. Thus the house going for auction. A rich plantation owner bought the place, bringing his army of shall we say, house servants? He is a distant and kind man, despite the disreputable opinion many like him come to deserve.
But that canister indeed has the mirror in it, and a magnifying glass.

"um...you can use your magnifying glass. If you want you can change your form, can't you?" she chuckled.

"yes I can" I go and used the magnifying glass and mirror again to go into my inner world hoping I could change myself

"oh, if you can travel, then you can change. I can show you!" she said. "can I have that looking glass for a moment?"

She motioned for her to come to stand in front of the mirror with her and then used it on the mirror. "we're just going into both of us, don't worry"
Indeed it was like before, only there were more things around. As if going into her and going into you had happened simultaneously.

"woah it's like our worlds have merged!!" I say surprised

"Well, and I have a way of storing you, you don't mind." She took out a clay pot and placed it on the ground. She then began picking up all of your parts and putting them inside the pot. "help me do this, it takes a while. " some of the objects were larger than the pot, but as she put them in, they shrank at the right moment. They were all weightless after their initial innertia was broken. "This pot is an empty vessel. Once it's filled, it becomes something else! It will constitute you!" she sounded excited. "and now we should also put someting in there to make you disguised." she walked over to her inner parts, going into a chest, digging through objects.

"I'll help" I help her look for something to disguise it hoping being in the pot will not hurt me from being in it or that it's not too cramped in there.

There was a black feather, some animal hair, a human hair, and a picture frame. (pick one of those to put in the pot)

She nods. "okay, perfect, now leave with the crystal ball and let's see what that did?"

As you leave, you notice that the two of you are still standing there, but then your face began to feel fuzzy, your nose shrinking, your toes and fingers shriveling as well, the nails coming to points and retracting. You could feel pressure in the back of your dress. Your teeth had a dull ache.

"what's happening to me!!" I say as I keep changing

"You are becoming the animal whose hair you added to the vessel!" she said excited. "it's really fun sometimes" she clapped as your dress began to shift into fluffs of grey and white fur. Your eyes began to shift, to enlarge, while your body began shrinking. you could feel fur cover every inch of you, your lips tightening and disappearing. Your teeth turned into fangs and your ears grow into a point. It gets harder and harder to stand up straight and your tail pushes out from a place where dress had become tuft.

I look into the mirror to see what I'm becoming (I'm guessing mouse or rat?)

You see that your face looks feline.

"I'm becoming a cat?" I ask sinead

You notice your tongue felt raspy and long as you talked. Your clothing turned all the way into fluff and it becomes way hard to stand upright. you are now smaller than ever before.
"yes, and it's perfect" she said, "the servant is coming soon"

I start to go on all fours "okay just hopefully I can change back later"

"oh that's no problem" she said and the servant knocked. You notice that you are mostly a cat now, and small enough that your divergent features probably are enough to get by. The boy at the door comes in, shirless, a kilt around his waist, and food in a bowl, "princess sinead, food for you ma'am" he said softly. She nodded to to him and placed it near her on the bed smiling at you. "what a curious creature!" he said, having never seen a cat smaller than a lion. "yes, it's a magical breed" she said. he stood awkwardly watching you. "can I pet him?" "yes you may" said the princess, "and it's a her"

I let the boy pet me as I start to purr

He smiled. "it's like a squirrel or rat" "no" said the princess, "she's like a small lion. they have them in other countries. this one came to me in a dream" she said casually. He began petting around your neck and between your front legs.

"That's enough" said the princess "you can come back and enjoy her another time perhaps" she said. and the boy turned and left, waving goodbye to you. he had a page cut, but was skinny and also well defined for a boy his age. He left through the doorway.

"Mix it? hmmmm if you want I can set that up for you. but it will be difficult to reverse..." she said wryly. she was petting you all over now with both hands.

"Just because" she winked. She picked up the magnifying glass, "do you want to come along or do you want me to just do it to you?"

"Okay then" she looked at both of you in the mirror and used the magnifying glass. Suddenly you were next to the pot again. She pulled out the hair and then pulled out your body. which materialized in full scale next to the pot. "so you want to be able to change at will? and I'm guesing you want to be able to be however much cat you want at any moment and however much human?" she guessed.

She nodded. "not sure how to do that. it sounds kind of like a slider. if you can find something that slides back and forth, maybe we can rig it. also I need some of your hair. just one hair actually" she said.

"well it seems like we need a slider then but where do we find one also for now maybe I should be human or would you prefer me as a cat?"

"you need to figure out the slider issue, I'll work on this here." she handed you the magnifying glass and the crystal ball. "find something like a slider somewhere. you can use my world, your world any world. I just need to think"

The inner world of a scottish princess. There it was, black like for yours, but there was a raging fire, her body, her mind, her family tree, a man with no face wearing a kilt. and an enormous chest.

Suddenly you were in an enormous field. There was she, and lines drawn on the grass to what seemed to be her parents. They went on for what seemed like forever behind Sinead, and in front were people as well. the man with a line to her had no face. The people behind seemed to have different clothing, as did the people in front.

Suddenly you were in a black place, four parts of her soul (body mind spirit emotion) all there, along with a family crest floating there, a lion, and a small castle.

"woah this must be her mother's inner world." I check the spirit with the magnifying glass.

The spirit expands and there are shapes and lights that are incredibly beautiful. Oddly, they don't seem ethereal. There is a planet, a sword and shield with the family crest, an egg, and a star.

The planet appears to be earth as a globe. You can see where your mansion is, in fact, though it is incredibly small. The clouds appear to be moving but the locations are almost like toys.

I decide to go to the planet hoping I could go to the mansion
