Description
You enter a small room whose door was surrounded by mirrors. Inside, the door is shut-- as if you had shut the door the instant you came in. But as a simple rule, you were stuck inside the moment you stepped in.Now the floor is wet and there in the center is a creature unlike any you have seen before. She (for it is easy to see from the feeling it gives off that it is a she) beckons you to come forward, hands you an amulet, a tentacle-like wing-like pincher-like hand-like appendage placing it around your neck. The gloom and wetness of the room seem to clean up as soon as she does so and you hear a brilliant voice fill your head.
"I give you this now because I know what is to come. Tomorrow you will be spared among the human race. The world will be cleansed in a very efficient way and you must not be removed from it. Endure. Survive. Have joy."
And then you wake up. You can't remember how you got to that room whose doorway is framed in mirrors any better than you can remember if it's door was ever open after you entered. You simply wake in your bed, listening to the news.
Downstairs you hear your family frightened by the broadcast, and you can hear a sound coming from the sky. It sounds like birds chirping mixed with snapping, grunting, and the slip slip of fins all at once. It's a horrible, wonderful, disgusting, exciting sound. And much of it now is coming from the throats of your family members and from the windows of neighbors.
But you are in bed. What do you do?

You can't find any keys. They must have left them in the house. As you search around, you touch the steering wheel, making a strange static feeling on your palms.

i grab my hand and rub it hoping to make it go away

You notice your heart beating extremely fast and hard, and you feel gas building up inside.

i cough and crawl out of the car not feeling too well

You notice that your pants have something jutting out of them, out of your rear end in fact! It's very hot to the touch.

i look around for anyone before putting them down see what it is

Only animals are around, you see. You find it is a tailpipe, spouting exhaust everywhere, though it is a bit watery right now. You notice it feels much better having it uncovered. Your heart beats faster and harder.

i stare at it in shock before trying to cover it up again

you notice it is pushing out further and further, your hips widening. You notice that your feet and hands are turning black and cracking into strange patterns. Your face is also widening, stretching on your nose.

i stumble on my feet away from car before falling on my knees

Your feet begin to fatten, your toes widening and sticking together, smoke coming out of your tailpipe. You notice that your ears are shrinking and sticking out, getting metallic.

panicking i try to stand up and run

As you run, your feet hit each other and you fall, but you keep moving. You realize that you are driving. Your hands and feet have become wheels that are spinning. Your arms and legs have shafts inside them that are spinning. You notice that the pavement it coming closer and closer to your face as your arms and legs spread widely.

i try once last time to lift myself of the ground while trying to stop

You are able to stop, but when you lift yourself off the ground, you start again, your arms and trunk flinging up, doing a pop-wheely. WHile you are int he air, you see a reflection of yourself in a window, your face is as wide as a car, and looks quite metallic, your neck and back and butt are almost completely transformed, bubbling and hardening into place. You fall back to the ground, one of your wheels skidding as it spins. You are an automobile.

i honk in shock before shutting myself-"what the hell is this?!a joke?"-i think

You suddenly get a warm feeling somewehre inside your chasis. The amulet is there.
"I spoke to you in your dream...please come to the mall as soon as possible. And you may return to human form, but keep in mind that remaining that way will put you in more danger and could risk our entire quest. I can't speak long, please come quickly."

i sigh and try to figure out how to move in this form first

You notice that you have very few things to focus on for moving. You can switch gears manually, you can do it automatically, you can go back and forward, turn front wheels left and right, you can switch to four wheel drive, adjust mirrors, and you can turn your lights on and off and open and close your doors. Your hood can pop too, and gas cap, you find. Even that, compared to what it takes to walk, to move with muscles, is very simple. You begin picking it up much quicker than a new driver would.

i grumble a little at how unrealistic it all was before driving towards the mall-"i sure hope i cant ran out of gas"-i think

You do have an amount of gas. But it seems to be plenty. The meal you ate yesterday has somehow contributed to it.
As you drive, you notice that there are other vehicles driving. Except, instead of driving on the road like you, they are driving on the vertical surfaces of buildings. A red dot seems to move around on them, searching.
"Avoid the sentinels if at all possible. They will take the amulet if they detect you are really a human."
Seeing a car driving, you notice that they watch you closely as you are in the area.

You notice that the vehicles begin detaching and like falling leaves they drift to right in front of you on the road. They turn so the rounded tops of the vehicles are facing your front, the red dot darting around on it's surface.

i try not to move or make sudden moves

They seem to be confused by this human vehicle without a human in it, and just to be sure, the shiny surface opens up like a tiny mouth and a sound comes out of it like barking/crying and trumpets all at the same time. There is also a hum. You notice that the amulet deep inside your vehicle chassis is pulled up through you as if you were jello. It rises to being in front of the sentinels.

As you drive, you notice that you are returning to human form, your tires becoming large hands gripping an axle, your back tires becoming curled up feet. You can feel the amulet is still being drawn out. (this is similar to what happened that morning. If you didn't have the amulet at that time, even if they were far away, it still would have turned you into an animal like your family. But now that they know you have an amulet, they can get you with a similar range)

You roll to a stop, tumbling into a somersault. As you come to, you notice that your ears are twitching, sticking out way more than normal. You can feel your nose blackening and fangs begin to grow. At the same time your toes merge together and you notice hair beginning to grow all over.

(So, I flipped a coin to determine if your first letter would be the biome or the species, and it landed on tails, which is biome. Then from that I picked a species that starts with the second letter! I got hyena)
As you slide on the pavement, your skin thickens, strengthening. YOu feel your legs and your snout growing in new ways. Your tail sprouts and your paws finish. Your jaw becomes enormously strong and your back arches in a peculiar way. You are a Hyena.

As you walk, you notice that the sentinels leave you alone completely. The other animals seem to be leaving each other alone mostly, no one is dying yet.
