Description
Not now...Scorchstorm pushed forward, clawing blindly at pelts. Her vision blurred from the blood that trickled over them, and she couldn't make things out.
Are we winning or loosing? She grit her teeth, stumbling away from the fray, into some bushes where she collapsed.
She couldn't do it anymore. Her claws ached from being out so long, and from being sliced through flesh over and over again. Her back hurt from leaning down and pouncing so many times, and her hindlegs felt numb.
"...storm!" Her ears pricked up at a familiar voice.
"Scorchstorm!"
"Scorchstorm, can you hear me?"
Three voices. They sounded meshed into one.
"Huh...?" Scorchstorm could barely see, and she tried to blink away the haze of fatigue that had swept over her as she lay on her side, heaving. "Who's there?"
"It's me," The three voices answered her at once, but said different names after that.
"Spicepaw..."
"Puddlepaw!"
"Shadepaw!"
Finally the glaze in her eyes subsided enough for Scorchstorm to see. She immediately spotted two small forms hovering above her, gazing down at her worriedly. It was her apprentice, Spicepaw, and another apprentice she'd been acquainted with before, Shadepaw.
Behind those two was another cat, but the shape was faint. Scorchstorm could just make out encouraging yellow eyes and a dark-colored pelt with splotches of cream fur.
Puddlepaw... Scorchstorm thought fondly. She kept imagining that ball of fuzz by her side, along with their side of the alliance.
She could feel herself being nudged.
"Come on, Scorchstorm." she could hear Spicepaw say with a hint of desperation. He needed her to help in the fight. "We need to move before an enemy spots us!"
"Yes, I know a safer place." Shadepaw mewed, keeping watch as Scorchstorm attempted to regain her footing. "If you need to rest more we should head over there."
Rest... Scorchstorm mused. The very thought tempted her. She could rest and sleep away all the worries she had. However, that would never happen. This was a war. There was no time to relax.
"No, I don't need to rest." Scorchstorm hissed, turning her icy gaze towards the warzone. "We have a battle to win."
She felt her apprentice lighten up beside her, as well as Shadepaw. The faded shape of Puddlepaw beamed at her once before vanishing into thin air.
Scorchstorm felt bits of her strength come back, and she pushed off the ground with her strong hindlegs, charging back into the battlefield.
She raised her voice in a snarling yowl,
"ONWARD!"

Scorchstorm's paws thundered against the ground, brushing past blades of red-splattered grass. "Spicepaw, are you with me?" She called over her shoulder, taking a quick glance back.
She was rushing back into battle after being "revived" by her apprentice and two others, and boy did she feel refreshed.

Spicepaw stepped side ways as he paced next to his mentor, giving her a swift nod, showing he was perfectly fine...disregarding his wounds.
"Are you ready?" He asked, passing his mentor another glance. His eyes burned with determination.
He was ready to show what he learned.
He was an apprentice and not some loner's kit.
He was ready to show that his clan was by far, the best.

"As I'll ever be." Scorchstorm couldn't help but beam at his expression. He was ready to win this thing.
She spotted a cat who was at the edge of the fray, his eyes darting around in confusion.
"There's one," she told her apprentice. "Want to go for him?"

He nodded eagerly, bouncing towards, then into a bolt at the cat that his mentor pointed out.
His eyes were narrowed as he neared the cat.

The targeted opponent had his back turned to them. He didn't notice them at all.
"Go for it." Scorchstorm instructed Spicepaw, ready to back her apprentice up if he encountered any trouble.
