You got any idea how that happens? Do you have to submit it to something, or does it just come to you and be like "Hey we picked this as a daily deviation."

Yeah. If someone really likes your Dev, they can say, "Hey Gallery Director! Give this a DD!" And they'll be like, "Oh, wow! That's pretty good, I guess I will give it a DD!" And it's DD'd.

It depends on the gallery who you talk to, but if you look at the past DDs, you can see who featured them, and talk to that person. (But you can't suggest your own Devs, if that's what you're doing 
Usually DDs are given to less popular people to boost their popularity, so someone like ~ending (2 million+ pv) probably shouldn't/wouldn't get one.

yeah i've noticed that! because everyone who I've commented on w/ a daily deviation has actually responded to the comment, unlike people like Psycho-Kyugurl, or something like like, or Amuria, who get deviations on the popular list regularly, who don't respond to comments unless they say something pretty crazy, the ppl w/ DD's actual talk back.
