I began sketching the ribcage, and it kind of developed from there. I don't know why the arms became joined to the creature's knees. I guess its because I like manipulating the anatomy of things and wondered what it would look like to connect to limbs that are not normally connected.

This thing was given life after an apprentice to an anatomancer found a dead frog and tweaked with its digestive system and limb structure, allowing it to survive without a stomach or large and small intestine (required proteins and nutrients are drawn straight into the almost visible muscles. In other words, it digests stuff that it touches).
