Two eldritch abominations that serve as the main villains of their stories. Said stories are told as a series of after the fact reports and personal documents rather than traditional narratives. Despite them being the main villain and being a constant presence throughout the story, they are mostly passive, with their cult being the main threat. This passiveness comes from the fact that they were both sealed underneath the Earth in vaults made specifically to contain them (Statue of Liberty/Progress, R'Lyeh Vault). Both of them did manage to escape these vaults at one point, but this didn't last. Even from within their prisons, they can still influence people through dreams, with artists being particularly vulnerable. They are associated with a mind-melting eldritch location that people can only reach through very specific means (Wonderland, R'Lyeh). Their true, full awakening would cause/has caused the destruction of the Earth.
