This is a truly stunning piece. I especially love that you that the more you look at it the more things that start popping out, adding to the composition and narrative. I would love to know the story the behind it.

Although it is technically beautiful and set in a seemingly different context, I can't really like it since it looks like a rip off from Miyazaki's NaΓΌsicaa - the inspiration is not even mentionned in the author's comments. :/

There are some similarities but I cannot see how you can call it a rip off. There were no giant fish in Miyazaki's film, or many legged zebra unless I'm much mistaken. Besides, "Good Artists Borrow, Great Artists Steal" -Pablo Picasso (possibly).

But there is a girl "welcoming/offering herself" to gigantic many-eyed monsters which use gold-colored free-moving antennae/whiskers to feel her. (in Miyazaki's movie, there are many-legged insects if you want to go that far. But there are no bunnies, I'll concede that.)
Happening also on a lake - although yours is a lake underwater, fair enough - if it really is a lake though, I can hardly tell, but it's blue under a gold light so I guess it's water.
As I said, the context is different, but the similarities are quite blatant.

You could argue that this takes away from many films, the gathering of animals around a majestic scene is incredibly Disney and the other elements pull heavily from Ghibli absolutely. Nausicaa is at the top of the list when it comes to inspiration of the piece, but it also seems to hint to Princess Mononoke with the god-face coming from the mouth of the giant fish (Great Forest Spirit or in this case Great Ocean Spirit), Ponyo could be an influence as well considering the underwater themes.
But that's just it, this is quite apparent and obvious and so the artist needs not explain himself in words for the art explains this for him. An author explains themselves in words an artist explains themselves through their art. Wouldn't you agree?

it reminds me a lot of Nausicaa, the Miyazaki movie. The part where the Ohm lift her with their golden tentacle thingies.
