So... I recently fell in love with The Owl House. While I know it's a bit controversial due to its occult-inspired atmosphere, I still think it's an amazing series with intriguing plot, strong character development, and surprisingly moral undertones. (Now that I got that out of my system, I'll just stick my soap box back where I keep it...)
As I was saying, I'm really fond of this show, and Willow has quickly become my favorite character. She's sweet, innocent, resourceful, and so flipping adorable! That said, I decided to draw her, but I needed something to go with her. So I figured a Pokémon would do, and Phantump seemed to be a perfect match. She's a witch studying Plant magic, and Phantump is a spooky tree. They seemed to fit together well. This was really fun to draw, and it got even better when I found out it was canon. The day after I finished this, Dana Terrace (creator of The Owl House) posted what Willow's ideal Pokémon team would be, and Phantump was front and center! I hope you all like this drawing!
