Description Sorry about the Watermark. I know I know, I feel your pain because I also hate Watermarks with a passion. I feel like they take away from the art. But with my recent dealings with theft (outside of Deviant Art) and betrayal, I am a little too paranoid to post even fan art anywhere without some indicator that it's mine.

Anyway. I've been drawing and writing a lot of Lilo and Stitch stuff here lately. Maybe because this quarantine has got me re-watching the entire series and reliving it as if I were the six year old bawling her eyes out over the death of her favorite Disney character, clutching that little Stitch plushy like her life depends on it that I used to be. Whatever the reason, Reuben (and 627...) were always my favorite characters. I found Reuben's personality, jokes, and love of sandwiches adorable. Plus... You know... Rob Paulsen... The greatest voice actor to ever live... He and Jim Cummings were my childhood.

Being the strange, depressed, and anxious life force that I am, I have to over analyze every single character I come in contact with, especially those created for comedy relief. So, reading a little too much into Reuben critical jokes, constant need for food and sandwiches, his nature to cling for Gantu for God only knows why. My mind came to the conclusion that Reuben suffers from depression. He feels the need to put others down constantly to make himself feel better. He's a stress eater and Sandwiches are basically his version of alcohol. He was meant to be Jumba's final experiment, his monster to end all monsters, but for some reason he failed. Early comics that came out before the first Lilo and Stitch movie showed Reuben (Then known as just 625) working as Jumba's right hand man and lab assistant and the two were constantly bickering. An episode of Stitch! the anime (I hate the anime but whatever) featured the characters going into the past where once again, Reuben was shown as Jumba's assistant who Jumba constantly yelled at and belittled. Even though it depicted Reuben as just the sweetest little angel on the planet, seriously he didn't yell, make fun of, or joke about Jumba even once. He was just this little sweetheart doing whatever he was told, fixing lunch for his master, and just being seriously under appreciated. So... Yeah, my mind thinks he has depression know and he feels like a failure but he can't help it because that's just who he is. He clings to Gantu so much because, yeah, he yells at him but he's giving him some form of attention.

Sorry. Drew this awhile back and never got the chance to upload it from this old computer until now. Was working on an illustration job and a Business card design order and found this picture, realized I hadn't uploaded it, and fixed that.

Stay safe everyone. As my mama always told me, "Wash your hands and say your prayers 'cause Jesus and germs are everywhere."
