Within an ancient castle, cobwebs and dust covered the bookshelves of an immense library. The chamber was dark, and the chandeliers with ghostly flames only provided slight relief. There were bones and corpses littering the floor, and a rotten smell lingered within the area.
These were the remains of servants from long ago, and in their time of need, the people were abandoned.
“W-What do you mean?” Lidianette said in an anxious tone. Her voice quivered, and her expression was clearly worried. The lizard-girl continued staring at a hovering crystal ball.
“What do you mean that you’ve all teleported away?” Lidianette added. I’m still here…”
The sorceress rested a hand on her colossal stomach—a thing that was overwhelmed and entombed with thick fat. It wobbled at the slightest touch and it was extremely dense. Heavy.
Heavy like the gut of a brood mother burdened with eggs. Except in this case, the abdomen was entirely made of adipose.
Every tea party meal, every elegant meat pie, every sophisticated serving of lambsteak, and every cup of fancy tea, had built the behemoth of blubber called Lidianette’s stomach. Enormous breasts—full of thick liquid—rested upon her middle, and her rear was a spectacle of monstrous size and weight.
Jiggling, quaking, and rippling, happened with any action she did. Lidianette took a few steps towards the floating orb, and her titanic rear shook heavily.
“Maidenyouth Lidianette,” a voice from the crystal ball said. “We mercenaries have to make difficult decisions at times—”
“I hired you!” Lidianette snapped. “My riches are lining your pockets! You and your team were supposed to protect me as I searched for the tomes I desired.”
“Child—”
“Don’t child me!” Lidianette cried while burying her face into her palms. “You left me behind! You’re all swindlers.”
“You’re a very smart girl,” the voice from the orb replied. “I’m sure you’ll be able to figure out how to escape the horrors that appeared.”
“My fairyjewel magic is slow charging,” Lidianette sniffled. She tried to stop crying but couldn’t. “I need a frontline offense and defenders to assist me.”
“Look, we didn’t abandon you out of ill-will. You’re just too heavy for the escape magic we prepared. But again, it’s not your fault, it’s only natural for a highborn sorceress of your prestige to carry a few thousand pounds of fat on her figure.”
After a long moment, Lidianette was able to get her crying under control. However, the girl now sounded empty and defeated.
“Go away please,” Lidianette said, lowering her head dejectedly.
She then turned her back to the floating crystal ball. “Just go. We have nothing more to discuss…”
The voice from the orb faded, and Lidianette was alone again in the dark and ominous library.
“Pandora …Alexandria …you two were right,” Lidianette said softly. “I was an idiot to choose a group of adventurers that I didn’t fully trust. Why does Jean always have to bring out the worst in me?”
Lidianette and her older sister, Jeanbethany, were competitive and not on the best terms. After Jean criticized Lidianette for choosing adventurers that were small and toyish in appearance, Lidianette decided to get payback.
So the girl hired a group that looked “very elite” to complete her next commission.
And everything backfired.
Without an ounce of vigor or hope, Lidianette withdrew a small blade from her cleavage. It was a knifesword, and these were given to highborn girls as a futile form of last defense. If they ran out of magic stamina, or ammunition for ranged weapons, the blade would be drawn.
But in many cases, the girls had bellies and chests that were far too big for melee to be effective. In addition, they received no training in physical combat.
Lidianette performed a small, forward thrust. Her tremendous stomach quivered, and it tremendously outranged her little knife attack.
“It’s pointless. Why did I even embarrass myself by trying?” Lidianette said, sheathing the blade back into her cleavage. “If my fairyjewel magic can’t keep every enemy away then I’m dead.”
The girl focused while performing mystic hand gestures. Soon, a pink crystal materialized from thin air. The object was large and sharp, and it carried an aura of fairy magic.
“Ha! I guess I didn’t you notice me yet,” Another voice said. “But then again, my footsteps are pretty quiet. I just jumped down from a small hole in the ceiling a few seconds ago.”
“Hmm?”
Lidianette turned a bit and saw a doll-sized robot saluting her on a nearby table. The ancient fellow had a warm smile and looked ready to help.
“Hey there, ace. Your youngest sister told me that you might have hired an unsavory group by accident. So she decided to hire me to make sure that everything turns out alright—”
“Thank you,” Lidianette replied. “I know I’m such a brat and this is mostly my fault, but thank you nonetheless.”
Lidianette knew Red and his nature, and she knew he wouldn’t charge money to save a friend.
The lizard-girl then blew a magic kiss in his direction. A pink bubble in the shape of a heart drifted to the table and popped near Red.
But then Lidianette’s expression shifted to a glare. Now that she had someone to support her, the girl yearned to get revenge on the mercenary group that abandoned her.
But first, she would need to get past the horrors seeking her miracle blood.
