So with this stage, we have the result of the thought experiment "what if we designed the worst mini-boss, and just made a stage where you fight it repeatedly? Apparently that dumb crappy red donut is supposed to be a snake that's coiled up, though it also happens to have an arm that it doesn't use. It's an absolute waste because it isn't animated at all, so there's no reason for it to be a snake. It just looks awful and I hate it.

Speaking of mini-bosses, I liked the mini-boss from Split Mushroom's stage...
but this lame-ass just rips off the attack pattern with very little else to offer! just sucks...

More deficiencies: Just one solid color on this jerk. No avoiding it so I didn't really even try. I barely did more than just adjust the hue 5 times. Bleh. I wasn't going to recolor the fire and fireballs etc because they look awful, but I couldn't resist.

It makes me sad, because his design is actually pretty neat-- his sprite looks terrible, really doesn't do him justice. Just a stupid orange bird that sucks. For that reason, I've uploaded a sheet with an upgraded palette here .
