This was recently done for the character design class with Kevin Chen and Hong Ly at Art Center.Definitely one of my favorite classes that I took.
UPDATE:
To be clear, This is my iteration, an iteration as a video game perhaps, my take on the story Nausicaa. It's not meant to compete with Studio Ghibli's version. This not a fanart, therefore the characters may seem entirely different from the originals.

I dont like this design as well as the others you re-imaged. He looks more like a circus conductor as opposed to a military leader. Just my take on the look of it.
You should design nausicaas air glider next.
