I'm a huge fan of RE series and played the 5th game to death!So I took on this challenge of creating an illustration of the RE movie's executioner about to sandwich this character I created.
I wished I had more time though haha, didn't realize the deadline was today.
I started this last week and I probably spent 25-30+ hours on it. Intuos 4, photoshop cs4

Though the contest over, people are still left wondering why certain pics didn't make the cut, but I will say that it's the composition. The Executioner is in the background while the girl takes center stage. This is in addition to the fact that the majority of the light is reflecting off of her which puts most of the focus on her when it should be on the Executioner. I won't dispute that this pic isn't awesome, because it is awesome. But had the girl been placed somewhere else or taken out, it would have had better chances. I wanted to see this one make it, but I had a suspicion that the girl's placement would pose a problem.

beautiful details , I see what you mean about wishing you had more time to finish
but it really does look great as is.
the colour and detail is great , and I really like how you created the blurring effect
of the big boy in the back taking a swing .. the whole field of view looks great to me

This is awesome! She is really hot, no doubt she ducks at the last minute, his weapon taking out all the zombies with one fell sweep, and then she slams a gun into the executioner's face and wham! He hits the deck, camera pull out with her standing there looking suitably hot and covered in zombie blood, but alive.

I don't think I've put as many hours into ANY other game this generation as much as RE5. Totally loved the game.
