Description
Dash serves as one of the main protagonists in the story, he was born with a strange mark on his chest in which at first was simply considered to be an unique birthmark. Dash was also born with the ability Justified, he is the first of his kind (Riolu and Lucario alike) to have this ability and it was this fact alone that intrigued many, namely Nocturne.

At first Dash had a rather carefree personality living around the edges of Sinnoh (bottom left of the map) on a secluded mountain range with his father and childhood friend and soon to be Gym Leader Maylene a Meditite, where he honed his natural martial art skills, Dash is very adept in fighting and with intense uninterrupted training he managed to teach himself aura sphere and how to implement his natural abilities to manipulate aura into his physical attacks. Not even a month after he turned thirteen Dash's home was savagely attacked by a group of Pokemon with unnatural abilities such as being able to use dark powers one would only expect from a Darkrai. These Pokemon were sent on a mission by Nocturne to capture Dash. The Pokemon's new dark powers made them far too powerful for Dash and the nearby natives to stop. Most of them were killed during the ensuing battle. Their mission was terminated however, Dash was inadvertently knocked of the cliffside and into a current that swiftly carried him out of Nocturne's grasp. Dash washed up on the beach of Sandgem Town where he recovered and began his journey home to locate his father and Maylene. He did not get far, Nocturne set a perimeter around his home to prevent enter or exit. He was forced to abandon the search to avoid capture. He traveled deep into the forest outside of Jubilife City where he took temporary refuge, hoping to reunite with his friend and father once again. Dash's hopes did not last long, his temporary hideout turned into a year and a half stay and all he could think about was exacting vengeance on the aggressors who quite likely killed everyone he cared about. These negative thoughts ultimately changed his personality from carefree to cold and brutal. The only thing he can hold onto to remind him of home was his hat that his father gave him as a gift for his thirteenth birthday but that alone is not enough to provide hope when there is not even a sign that anyone besides him survived.
