The trio were wandering along a route when it suddenly began to pour. They found a place to wait it out.
The gentle sound of the raindrops was soothing enough to put them to sleep.
The rain cleared and the sunshine has awoken the young Torchic from its nap.

Sorry, but it probably won't and shouldn't exist. The first 2 remakes were necessary, and HG/SS was belated as is. R/S/E are too recent.

Why? It exists, play it, lament it. I don't see what a new slab of paint would do for it when it's already so modernized. I'm sure people are referring to it being remade in 3D, but I dunno' how people could accept that. When would it end? Not every game of every franchise warrants a remake just because time has passed.

a lot of the mechanics in gen 3 are actually really outdated. whether or not a move is special or physical is still determined by its type, for example. also, gen 3 has a lot of unique features that weren't repeated in later games, like secret bases (the underground ones in gen 4 are pretty lame), diving, decoding puzzles, contests that were actually fun/challenging and not a bizarre dance-off, the trick house, soot collecting, etc. I (and a lot of others) think gen 3 had a lot going for it and want to re-experience it and see it pushed to its maximum potential. it's that simple.
I'm sure you're right, it doesn't need to be remade, and it probably won't. but I don't understand why you're so personally offended by me wanting a remake?

I don't see the harm in wanting remakes. and there is precedent for R/S remakes. 10 years have passed and we've gotten the older games remade before. R/S certainly could use an upgrade.

Well, the pokemon from generation 3 could be transferred to later generations, so I'm not sure about remakes.
New games taking place in the same region is probably more in line.
