Commission for and who wanted to see Peter happily catchin' 'em all, while Egon looks on with scientific disapproval
The Real Ghostbusters has always been one of my most favorite cartoons of all time, so being commissioned for these fellahs is a joy! Hope you like, ladies! <3 (Note: Pete's earring is the headcanon creation of so credit to her for that)

Not exactly. I follow the model sheets and aim for show accuracy much more than I did two years ago when I had you helping me learn to draw humans.
Here you followed the official sheets I gave you perfectly!

SWEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTT <3 <3 <3 They're honestly a treat to draw. For some reason I never draw them much; something about the show's style never felt right in my hands, but I'm SO SO SO HAPPY that you guys like my renditions! That means a lot.

Well, there are two reasons that may explain that:
*The main RGB cast are more or less Disney characters, by Gabi's admission. She studied and got her degree at CalArts, and went to school with folks like John Lassetter. Since Walt himself formed that college, Disney's influence was all over, and a lot of people honed their skill in attempts to work with the Mouse. As a result, a lot of people's art, Gabi's included, reflected the Disney style. The features in the human RGB characters are fun and toony, with a bit of squash and stretch thrown into their animation. But they still have that smooth streamlined look that Disney is known for. In addition, there are no huge muscles or large bulky features, so it makes sense that they wouldn't mesh completely with what you normally draw. But when given the proper specs, model sheets and references, you still do really well yet keep your style in tact, so you are learning that balance. 10/10 would have you draw them again.
*You come at RGB from a different angle than me or Kim do. You don't focus on the individual characters as much. You see the humans as one set, but your main passion is the weird horrorish theme the show had, and of course, the creatures themselves. The human characters may not be your main cup of tea, but the wild creatures they catch sure as heck are! The amazing pic of the Boogieman that you did shows that passion in spades!

Of course, NONE of what I said is meant as offense, it's more... I'm actually really surprised at the assumptions you made about me and my relationship with the show. It sounded so weird that THAT is what you thought that I was like... WHOA, she really DOESN'T realize what the show meant to me when I was much younger.
But it makes sense, as you didn't know me when I was in the deepest love for that show, I was just a kid

Fair enough. I guess with me, I've just kept it all fresh, since I've been a fan since day one as well, but I never let any of that fade and as time went by, I grew to understand the characters inside and out. I mean I've talked to you about the characters at cons and such, but I always got the impression due to our conversations that you didn't really bond with or study the characters to the level that I did and still do.

I think it's more I just don't always agree with your viewpoints, nor do I feel the same things or opinions as you regarding how you see/portray them. Which is fine and good, I don't EVER expect others to get the EXACT SAME THINGS out of characters from a show that I do, and I know everyone brings a different bit of ideation and headcanon to the table. I didn't have a lot of common ground, idea-wise, with you to share regarding the characters, so I just had little to say.
This holds true for me with some of the Layton and Voltron fandom as well; different fans see different things, and their poison isn't always my poison.
And that's 10000% A-OK! I don't really talk about it much and I'm fine with that. I love RGB, have always loved the show, and love that it still holds up TODAY with how solid the writing was for Season 1. And the memories hold true still

Also in my case, I'm close with the show's staff so I have more inside knowledge of how the characters are than most people. Like with Peter, Gabi said he was canonically supposed to be the youngest and gave the reasons behind that, so when watching the show, I take that knowledge/canon into effect as well. Very little headcanon is used with me, though there is expansion like the model sheets Gabi helped me draw up, and the earring I gave him. You however do view characters much more differently than others, like with your portrayals with Shiro and Layton, so I'd imagine your views on RGB would be along those same lines...and aesthetics.
I view RGB as its own separate thing a little more, so I don't mesh it with the movie as much or focus on the critters. And Peter is Peter like in the cartoon, not "Venkman", like he's referred to in the movies.
I'm glad you like to watch the show though. You enjoy your memories, and hopefully we'll see more art out of you as a result! Shiro and Layton better watch out, hm?

Hahaha actually none of that, regarding me or my sensibilities about RGB is correct AT ALL, I'm afraid. You've drawn a lot of assumptions about my relationship with the characters and the show simply because I don't generally talk about it much. My heyday for them was back when I was much, much younger, long before I met any of you. I had an EXTREMELY personal relationship with the characters, shows and creatures that was a lot deeper than I speak of.
So no, I'm afraid I don't agree with anything you think regarding me and RGB, but I do understand that since I say little, you would have to assume things. It's just that, frankly, none of it is actually true XD
