BWAHAHAHA WTF I are proud of this picture for some REASON.Ok, so I drew this doodle on paper and I was like "omfg I want to shade" but I didn't, cause I figured I'd use this doodle to practice my new program, Painter 8!
... but there's bad news. Everytime I open Painter, I can only use it for about 5 minutes. Otherwise, it just CLOSES for no reason on me. so I'd get as much done as I could, save VERY frequently, and got this whole picture done in about 1.5 hours. :3 I loves this picture.
Why would I use that program, if it keeps closing ever 5 minutes? Well.... it's got a pointilism brush. see? this whole coloring thing is all pointilism. I recently had an art project, it was pointilism painting. I enjoyed working on that project very much. everyone liked my painted, even though I didn't. XD but hey, an artist's worst critic is himself, right? .... yeah I know "herself" then.
^___^ Rubis looks cool being all colored with dots. if I ever get Painter to start working properly again, I'm going to do more pieces like this. it was great fun and quick too. Think about how quick it would be if Painter DIDN'T close so much...

Woo hoo! Pointilism! It's a tedious style, but I love the end results.
The sketchy lines on the eyes are a nice touch, too. It goes well with the dots for some reason.
The blurry background is cool 'cos it makes him look like he's running (but I think that was the point, right? XD)
