This has been one of my longest and most time consuming drawings so far.I started this drawing in autumn 05. I remember being rather exited starting this drawing, but as it progress I had some doubts how I wanted the drawing to turn out, as for background and such. About a year ago I took up the drawing again and decided to make trees in the background. I started drawing the first big tree and somehow felt it didn't look right. I did the trees from imagination, how I think trees should look. Even if I had taken a photo of a tree and tried to draw it exactly I don't think I would do it a 100% realistic. After starting the trees I felt I had somehow ruined the drawing and I didn't want to finish it up. Then finally I took up the drawing again not long ago and somehow the drawing looked different to me and I actually liked it and felt like finishing it up. I even feel happy with the outcome now. I find it rather interesting looking back at the process of the drawing. It has so much history to me as I remember the places in my life when I drew on this one. I think it will remain a special drawing to me.

*fave'd* ... You shape her skin contours with your lighting here, and that's a softer-focus effect which almost seems to come from how the snow itself scatters light.
This only adds to the grace of her falling hair and her feathers, the rounded beauty of her face ... and the self-possessed air of anyone so under-clad who isn't fazed by the cold {g}

I'll start with the background.it was a really good idea to put those trees there...and even drawing them more from the imagination than copying a model from a photo.the fact that the trees are drawn so simplistic makes the character stand out even more because of the sublime details.for example,I love the look in her eyes...something provocative,even kinky...it's just very original.second,I like the position of her arms and the thing that you drew on her arm.shows a great sense of confidence,which is great about a model with attitude and personality.do you draw all these from you imagination?even the details?
the body is amazingly done.your way of doing the shading gives the body the exact volume that it needs to create that 3d effect,like she is ready to come out of the picture any minute.the shadows on her abdomen and her legs are the most realistic,I think.I love how the hair flows in such a naughty way,completing her look that expresses the same feeling to me.that one hair that flows over her face is a great detail.you also gave an astonishing sense of realism to the snow by adding those shadows.one of my favorites.I love it.

It looks amazing! Great work. But her eye shape isnt the same as the picture link, she has more almond eyes in this pic and looks hispanic. I was surprised when I looked at the link and saw she was asian. Its amazing work though, I love it!

Gosh, that really did take a long time to
draw! I think your efforts were worth-while
though. You've got all the proportions of the
model correct and even thought the trees
don't look that realistic they are still effective
in a creepy way. The shape of her hair makes
her wings look more realistic and the details
are fantastic. Her skin is really smooth and
really tonal. Overall a fantastic piece

Wow. I like it! You know what? Our art styles seem kind of similar. I like yours better though. It's more developed. But I think that some day mine will be as good as yours! And I think I know why the trees look kind of wierd. You need to section off the bark on the trees vertically if you know what I mean. It'll give it that rough edge look. Look at a tree to see what I mean. I hope i've helped a bit....
Oh, and one more thing...ISN'T SHE COLD?!
