I used to play a lot of MUDs, specifically Shattered Kingdoms (shatteredkingdoms.org/ ) so after finishing my last map I took a look at it and realized it'd probably look pretty good in colored text. That led to a lot of typing and coloring in Photoshop overlaid on the pixelated world map I drew before, a lot more work than I thought in order to get it to all align and look good. 50,760 characters were individually typed and colored in the creation of this map, and to be honest it was some of the most fun I've had making maps in years. I might even fiddle around with DikuMUD and see about making this a full on game. Enjoy!
