Behavior
Unlike the other Amethysts she was trained with - you know, the roughhousing gaudy ones - this Amethyst was particularly quiet in large groups, only making brash comments to the few she feels most comfortable with. If you’ve managed to reach that level with her, it’s likely she’s ready to die for your own sake; despite being soft spoken around most others, she has the potential to go from 0 to 100 in a few seconds if those she loves are put in danger.

Brief History
Days after Amethyst emerged from an Earth kindergarten, she was brought back to Homeworld to begin her training and start receiving assignments. The first few were easy, things like transporting resources of varying rarities, then it was bumped up to guarding large events, and then transporting those of importance until she finally worked her way up to a Citrine. Though she didn’t show it around others, in private she nearly danced she was so thrilled. When she got into the transport pod with her and the other two Amethysts assigned, it turned into more of a silent curiosity than anything; all the other nobles she’d been in the company of had been rude and pretentious, but this Citrine simply made a couple jokes, apologized when Amethyst was too shocked to say anything, and was quiet for the rest of the evening. It was kinda cute. In-- in a very platonic, work relationship sort of way, of course. After a few years of guarding the Citrine, the two started joking around more. It was always the Citrine that would contribute the most but Amethyst tried to pipe in here and there, as much as she could.
Amethyst was sent to Earth after a few years to assist in guarding her Citrine while on a business trip, and it was around this time that the rebellion’s numbers were starting to rise. Amethyst and Citrine were in a colony for a general review when the Crystal Gems showed up, shouting their propaganda against the cause of Homeworld - one of the gems shouting was a fusion composed of two different gems, the likes of which Amethyst had never seen before. Once fire erupted, she did her part to assist in its destabilization and capture of the individual counterparts, setting them before Citrine. In their years together, Amethyst had never seen her come across this situation, and she could tell it hadn’t gone over well. Amethyst already felt sick having watched the two gems be shattered.
As further proof of this, once they were back at Homeworld, Citrine asked Amethyst to join her on their permanent departure; after the discomfort of their earlier endeavors, Amethyst accepted. Seeing as Citrine already had means of transportation (it was small and not much more than a pod, but it worked) they left and set their coordinates for Earth. There, they met Rose Quartz, and joined the Crystal Gems’ ranks. After this, Citrine and Amethyst accidentally fused, and Ametrine was made!
Inevitably, the Gem War happened. Amethyst fought as her and Citrine’s fusion, but Ametrine was destabilized, and in the counterparts’ daze, Amethyst was captured, poofed, and trapped as a lens inside a telescope, one object among several others that were taken to remote locations. She just so happened to be thrown onto the up and coming Gem Island, unseen ever since.
