Description
The Aggenphantex, a sapient species capable of tool use via grabby tentacles. I challenged myself to stray away from opposable thumbs and humanoid anatomy.
Diet: Omnivore Class: Vertebrate 2 Intelligence: Sapient Temperament: Highly cooperative, moral, and lacking the concept of hierarchy, Aggens live in a peaceful anarchy. They possess superb mathematical skills but cannot recognize deception.
-The aggenphantex is the first RMX species to develop language and mathematics. Aggens communicate using body language, radio waves, and four lumiblinks on top of their heads and use octal as their numerical base. The dots on the front of their heads are actual eyes, though, not lumis.
-The males are small, light-weight gatherers, foraging for fruits and small animals. Their agility allows them to navigate intricate and tiny spaces. Males have reproductive sacs under their necks, which encourages passive action and fleeing from threats. The male depicted above uses a sharp stick to fish animals from water and fruit from high places.
-The females are medium-sized generalists whose primary role is mother to the young. They mate with cooperative males via mouth-to-mouth kissing, incubating the young inside their chest sac. After a month, the sac falls off the mother and grows as an "Aggen's Gem" for four more months. Females are passive, but very protective of their tribe.
-Aggen's gem, often stolen by mammals to be sold as decoration, usually killing the baby. Sometimes, the "decorative gem" is still alive and grows anyway, causing their mammal "owners" to abandon them yearly.
-Aggens can remove their sexual organs after birth. Doing so enlarges the aggen and amplifies their aggression, creating the fighting force of the species. The one above was born a female, as indicated by the scar on their chest. Aggen tribes will evaluate the dangerousness of the area they live in; more threatened areas will have more undifferentiateds per capita.
