As the goddess enjoys the crunch of buildings underfoot, it is her divine right to destroy her possessions for fun if she sees fit, she is mischievously tempting the people to react, playing with them, testing them. She wanted to remind her worshippers that she was all-powerful and nobody was allowed to rise against her, otherwise there would be hell to pay as several cities had found to their cost this week. The residents of this city however were more worthy as they continued prostrating themselves in worship even as the buildings collapsed around them. They KNEW that she was kind and bountiful and benevolent......and sure enough, once the test was over, she restored everything and sat down to a great feast by the outskirts of the city where she rewarded her followers.
