Gosh, I finished the sketch for this TWO years ago.I have this bad habit of working on an artwork, be it 2D or 3D, and then come up with a new idea in the middle of it. So I ignore the current one and start to work on the new one...and this cycle continues. heh. I was looking at my files and noticed around 20 unfinished works...so I decided to go and finish them all (it will take a LONG while). Anyway, I started with this one.
This is a concept of a sci-fi idea of mine called Pathea. I blocked in the colors two years ago, but when I started on it again, I didn't really follow up on them. I originally wanted a blue type of atmosphere, it ended up being purple. I was going to add highlights too, but after the rocks in the background kicked my butt, I decided not to. Maybe I'll wait another two years before adding that.
