This is number 2 of a collection of 24 glass negatives I got on Ebay.

According to the box this collection of negatives were the finalists sent to a judge for a 'Societe Lumiere' contest in Paris for the years 1889-1900.

Since I don't have the means to develop these and scan those in I simply scanned the negatives and inverted them. No other work was done.

The photographer is unknown. No copyright is claimed here. Prior to finding these, most glass negatives I have found in the past from that era were (boring) family portraits and didn't usually include shots that displayed ordinary life in that time period. Anyway, I just think these are just really, really nice images.
