Well now that Knuckles is buff, he makes for a nice set of monkey bars!
An idea I doodled after getting to know about the new Sonic Boom designs~
I LOVE how the trailer went for the new show!~ 
The bandages are nice but there really are a lot on them o.o;;
And Sonic. Why oh why do you have blue arms when Amy still has her peach arms D:
SEGA probably tried to generalise the furry coloured arms across the male hedgehogs but we were definitely used to his peach arms :/
I messed up a bunch of things but I was too eager to finish this >_<;;
Also I've been feeling tired all day from not sleeping right all week ~.~
Finishing assignments for the last semester of school and going into the project period!
Inked traditionally with Sakura Pigment Micron pens and coloured in Photoshop (because when I erased the pencil sketch it became quite smudgy oAo;; )

Uh.. This redesign is only for the Sonic Boom series. Which means that Sonic and the gang will still look the same in the non-Boom games.

Actually. If Sonic Boom does well enough i wouldn't be surprised if Sega only does spin off non-boom games. Like Sonic All Starts Racing.

LOL what a good idea this would be in an episode of the show. XD Nice! Yeah, I'm used to Sonic's peach arms but I don't mind now, I actually liked the redesigns at first glance just Knuckles being so tall and buff is weird. They should have kept his normal height.
All the bandages keep making me think they're injured LOL, but I think it's fitting for them since they're exploring an ancient forest/world as the game trailer stated. I quite like those bandages.

The bangles actually do make some sense when you think about it. Runners often use wraps to prevent blisters when running, and fighters use wraps to prevent their skin from being torn up while fighting. Sonic and Knuckles are both a runners andΒ fighters so have both, while Tails only does running so only has them on his legs.

No prob. I actually had to look up what feet wraps are used for myself because I wanted to see if there was a good reason for them having it or it really was just cosmetic.

I always liked the small but very strong version of Knuckles. I mean I don't mind his redesign at all, it only makes sense that someone that strong is that big. But I like small Knuckles better. It'd look better if maybe he was small as he was, with like a green vest, goggles, and the strings on the shoes and gloves. BUt overall I like Sonic's redesign. XP

I actually kinda like the bulkier arms as it makes him seem more powerful when attacking, but what i can't get over is the massive height difference.

i guess this is what he gets for not admitting he is weaker than sonic (sonic lost worlds, sonic generations, etc.)

I don't know when it happened, but Knuckles is supposed to be the physically stronger of the 2. His body just never reflected that.
