Description
One of the few constants on the continent, the Dwarven Empire has survived the ages thanks to the ever changing Dynasties which usurp the previous one. While not the only dwarven nation, the empire is the few claimant, to the home of the dwarves, for it was the sight which Malik Nayla Ali (named Murnabin Andel by foreigners) birthed the dwarven people.-The Bazkar Territories: The Northern territories of the dwarven empire. These lands are known as "the land of milk and blood", for many rebellion have been staged here, with the help of the other nations of Intak. Despite this, the region has remained in the empire's fold since it's conquest by the fourteenth dynasty. Many of it's peoples still fight for the dwarves, despite the tension.
-The Home Land: Birth place of dwarf kind, the home land contains the province of Tarkema, where the modern capital is located. This region is a collage of the many eras of the dwarves, and other people groups, such as the minorins and scorpek. The golden coast lines act as a sight of major trade lanes and hubs, and the southern mountains provide a trove of raw materials.
-The Eastern Dessert: A region defined by it's proximity to the rocky desserts of the east - this land is home to some of the largest mining activity seen on the continent. Numerous miners and engineers work here to produce the raw materials for weapons and armor of the empire. It boarders the Sultanate of Iq-farkir, a rival dwarven nation, which seeks to usurp the empire as heir to Malik's legacy. This is in contrast to the province of Kisr, which has been the home to numerous previous capitals of the empire, and is the home of many a philosopher and mathmagician.
-The Afzar: Mountains which divide two worlds - the Ealam Eazim Mountain Range defines the Afzar region. Home to many cities nestled in the valleys, where great lions roam, and the air is sparked with magic - the region is where many mages come to develop themselves. There are numerous colleges of magic, where future sword mages are made, young nobles come to get educated, and the highs of magic are tested. This region is so famous, that some of the best wizards come here to improve their prowess.
-The Western Coast: Home to the Berdak Armada, the western coast is the iron grip on trade in the Medrin Sea. The three provinces are some of the few which are given autonomy to do as they please. It is from this place, where the empire gets most of it's slaves, has given a bad image to the dwarves. Many people beleive the dwarves to be savage pirates, whom enslave any who come across them, and kill the rest of whom they can not - which can be a problem when trying to trade with those of other nations in person. Of course, many dwarven trades have used proxies in trade negotiations with northern people - a key example of this are the gnolls, who's strangeness to wadie, belies their intelligence, and their innate ability to learn new languages quickly.
