Description
"The faithful shall be given safe passage through the land. The faithless and heretics will be cut down like chaff."-Mantra of the Order of Tuezran
An knightly order formed to protect pilgrims to holy sights across Intak, the Order of Tuezran was formed by two merchants from the Empire of Sol and the Koza Commonwealth. In the early days of both the Solite nations, there were many groups of bandits of the old faiths which took it upon themselves to steal specifically from these pilgrims for what they believed in. As the two nations could not guarantee the roads safety, these merchants came together with many others, to form an order made specifically for the purpose of deterring bandits, having a famed veteran of the Northern Crusades at the order's head - an ogre named, Opicz Walpot.
To this day, the Order has made it possible for many pilgrims to go anywhere on Intak where Sol's flock resides. From the shores of the Republic of Ermtir, to the north of Nordineava, to the steps of Kozaland and the far south - where the people there are said to practice the faith, acting as a bastion in the south east, against the faithless. Despite their role as guardians, the order has participated in many wars against the Dwarven Empire, Sirin Empire, the former Southern Nordin Coalition - now the Second Nordin Kingdom. Under the pretense of protecting the faithful, this has given the order a much maligned reputation in foreign lands, although none will out right confront them, due to many of their knights being well armed and well trained. A knight's kit is quite varied, much like their recruitment. Many knights come from either the armies of the Empire or Commonwealth, or are from foreign lands seeking to serve Sol. What is standard, is the black and white checkered robes they adorn, signifying their membership with the order. As well, the order gives all members a badge with the seal of the order and the name of the knight on the back, allowing for thief of the seal to be used to harm pilgrims.
