This is the night when the second full moon of the same month becomes true blue in it’s glow.Tonight and the morning past midnight, there will be the second full of the same month known as the Blue Moon. The very first one was on August 1. I made this back in 2020 when there was the last Blue Moon in the last day of October. Not only there will be a Blue Moon, but also a Supermoon, when the moon is closer to appear larger to our eyes.
When I think of the Blue Moon, I feel like the Moon should give out a blue glow. That’s why I made my artistic interpretation of it. In fact, it was. According to the Britannica website, the Moon appeared to be colored blue by witnesses after the Krakatoa volcano erupted in Indonesia in 1883.
It’s amazing to see such s celestial event named after the expression that had been passed on from the 16th-century, “the Moon is blue.” It means that something was impossible. But in our imaginations, anything is possible.
