Description
I want to show you my very first sketch of Klonoa, one of my favorite characters since childhood. I drew him for the 23rd anniversary of his franchise. He made his debut in his first game Klonoa: Door to Phantomile on December 11, 1997 and onward.This is the great opportunity to express my feelings and opinions about this character and his series. After his last game Klonoa (2008), the remake of his first game, there hasn’t been anything new. But in 2012, there was a webcomic based on his series called Klonoa: Dream Traveller of Noctis Sol until it got cancelled in 2014.
In 2016, there was going to be a film about Klonoa. But in 2019, it got cancelled. It has been very disappointing in the recent years when something new was about to come out but it never did.
There are times when I feel like there should be more of the Klonoa franchise. If no one can continue the series, so can we. That’s why we make fan fictions of our favorite characters. I’d be happy to look forward making fan stories of Klonoa. Hopefully one day, something new will come out of his series. If not, I guess that’s how things are.
We will always cherish the memories Klonoa had put up with us. He will always be our hero.
That’s why I made this sketch to honor him. It was hard to draw him out that way so I took a break from it and started sketching for my personal project to warm me up to sketch real good. I did a pretty good job on it. That was a basic start. I’ll get better at making my fan art while I keep sketching in the future. You know what they say, “practice makes perfect.”
