Vixa wasted no time. Her exhaust cutout immediately opened and her engine note took on a sudden loud hammering. She took off in a dead sprint before her engine even got up to speed. Heavy black smoke fired out of her exhaust ports. Her steel claws produced a spray of sparks against the concrete surface. Her supercharger whirr quickly escalated to a piercing howl, the turbocharger not far behind with its shrill scream. On her third step her engine hit redline speed, bouncing off the limiter. With a harsh mechanical bang, accompanied by a sharp drop in engine speed, she shifted to her overdrive ratio. With each successive leap she built speed. She could feel her oil heating as it flowed through her cold system. Her feet moved impossibly fast beneath her. Her engine once again approached readline, only this time she allowed it to climb past it's safe limits, her limiter disabled. She was in full emergency power now. The engine took on a deafening roar as its speed continued to climb along with her own. Her four active cooling shutters along her back flipped open, a brief puff of white smoke passed out of them. Her supercharger took a sudden increase in speed to compensate for the opening of the manifold diverter. Her exhaust ports began to take on a slowly intensifying dull red glow. Her limbs could not possibly move any faster. She felt like she might trip over them with every step. Hydraulic lines throughout her body became hot enough to begin cooking off residual oil left on their outer surface. A dark smoke wafted off their exterior. Her body produced several alarms insisting she stop. Excessive Exhaust Gas Temperature, Excessive Engine Speed, Excessive Pump Manifold Temperature, among many others. She steeled herself and pressed on, determined.
