Description Location: The Castle of Illusion
Lucifer looked down into the silver bowl. The shallow water stood still, his one time reflection was cast perfectly off the surface. As he looked, the surface rippled despite the fact nothing had hit it.
"Hey Luc!" an image appeared in the bowl.
"You found her Xi?"
"Sorry sire, no one with that name. I'm sending some images."
"The red head," he said as he saw her image flick by, "I'm sure of it."
"Are you sure Luc?"
"She draws, different little designs in ink." He saw the cat demon briefly look away before his gaze returned.
"Sure she's beautiful Luc, but you're in too deep here."
"What do you mean?"
"She's to be married, as part of a peace agreement. You go after her Luc, and you'll have two countries out to kill you."
"I just want some moments with her-"
"She's too heavily guarded, it's hard enough for a cat to slip through, never mind a vampire in the middle of the night."
"I've done it once before."

"The marriage has only been arranged in the past few days, people are guarding her night and day now."
"I'll find a way. Report back in a few days. I've got to deal with something here first."
"Luc, you need to-" but the vampire had already gone.

"Mother, Father," he greeted, holding his arms out, whilst in his head he was manipulating all the light intensities of the castle, "Welcome."
"To think, our ancestors ruled this land by night so many long years ago, and here the stronghold stands unperturbed."
"Mother, no one else can hold this castle unless they are of royal blood."
"It doesn't mean humans haven't tried."
"Mum, stop raining on my parade. This is my castle, my choosings."
"And two whole countries to feed off." He turned, his father having finally spoken for the first time in a long time to him.
"So you're finally talking to me again father."
"I don't agree with a lot you've done recently."
"I am not some four year old that needs feeding at every turn anymore father, I am full fledged, I make my own choices." Grown male vampires don't usually get along, unless one is in control of the other. But both Lucifer and his father were equals in all but title, and over the past few years the tension had grown between them until Luc had uncovered the secrets of the Illusion Castle.
"Where's that demon slave of yours?" he asked.
"He doesn't like you," the younger answered.
"Is this the cute blue haired boy we're talking about?" his father looked at his mother, he raised an eyebrow and Luc shrank back, understanding why Xilef didn't like his parents.
"So where are you hiding that cat?"
"Dad, please control your wife," he took a step back.
"Luc, I need to-" Xilef burst into the room. The Prince had never seen the cat demon freeze so quickly.
"Well ain't you the cute one."

Her cold hand touched his face, making the shivers roll down his back. The breath stalled in his throat. His amber eyes stared blankly forwards, the edges of his mind being touched by a frost. The small hairs on the nape of his neck stood on end, he could feel her breath on his cheek. His ears twitched slightly, and he jumped back as he felt her tongue within this sensitive area. He threw his arms about his head, then tried to jump but arms wrapped about him.
"You didn't think I'd let you escape." Xilef cried out and blushed at the same time, squirming in the vampiress' grasp.
"Luc, help!" he whimpered, struggling to escape.
"Mother, let go of him."
"Come on puss puss, give us a purr." The demon stopped mid cry, fingernails pressing deep behind his ear. He was just white, using all his concentration not to move. A small rivulet of blood ran down from behind his ear. The vampire queen's tongue moved along the red thread, and Xilef held still.
"Mother, let him go," the tone in his voice asserted his authority. Xilef hit the floor, his heart beats racking his body.

Luc picked up the demon, hefting the youth over his shoulder.
"Both of you leave now," his tone lowered.
"You can't-"
"Father, this is my castle, my rules. I'm telling you to leave."
"I am the-"
"I know you re the King, my King, my father. But I will not stand for the occupants of this castle to be insulted and tortured by the two of you. Now leave."
"My little boy is growing up," his mother beamed.
"Leave," he stood to his full height.

His eyes slowly opened as he fell into something soft.
"Hey, they've gone now."
"Luc, I need to …" the demon whispered.
"What is it Xi?"
"You're in too deep."
"What do I need to know?"
"Five days time, in the capital of Morn, just look for the wedding, it's all I need to say."
"You get some rest, I'll sort everything out."
"Pillow … when?"
"I only just started changing your room. I'll tell the team to let off for the while. Get your rest." His head slumped, eyes shutting, falling into a needed sleep.
