How do you make the correct portions dark and the other portions with the desired amount of light? And secondly, how do you get a cat to pose. In all my life I've never been able to get a cat to sit still when I actually needed it to let alone get it to look in the right direction. My cats probably are not the right type for taking pictures of though. At least that's my guess.

Oh, this is beautiful. It reminds me of when I tried doing something similar with my Tiny. Like mine, I wish this would have a sharper focus on his eye, in order to capture the spirit there. His fur is beautiful too, but I think his eye is more important.
