Description Timeline of Conquered Armies:
S.D. 117 Combo  drive discovered, allowing practical interstellar travel.  Range of Starships constrained by the Gordon Limit.
S.D. 125 First exploration of nearby star system by Terran based ships.
S.D. 132 First alien race encountered by Terran ships.
S.D. 140-148 First Interstellar War, Terran forces defeat coalition of 5 alien races, only one of which initially possessed interstellar travel capability.
S.D. 195 Christian terrorists desecrate Mecca to protest Muslim suppression of their movement.  This action ignites long simmering religious tensions and starts the 35 year religious war.
S.D.  240 General Milam leads the 3rd Christian Army in their successful assault on New Mecca.  His victory results in the treaty of Foinac, ending the Religious War with Christianity declared the primary faith of the Terran coalition.
S.D.  249 Milam (the Great) is declared the Terran Empire's  first Emperor in the wake of his decisive and effective response to a series of attacks by Jewish and Muslim terrorists protesting their defeat in the Religious Wars.  His first act was to retroactively declare A.D. 1969, the year of the first moon landing, to be Stardate (S.D.) year 1.
S.D. 256 Empress Hannah the First expels all non-Christians from the Terran Empire to insure no religious conflict would again break out.
S.D. 378 First Henor War- First Imperial War with a single empire of equivalent size- previous wars had been against ad-hoc coalitions of aliens.  The Henor Empire was similar to the Terran Empire inasmuch as they did not rely on allies but viewed themselves as the chosen race to rule the galaxy.  This war ended by treaty S.D. 382
S.D. 395 Second Henor War- Further expansion of both empires inexorably led to further conflict.  This war broke out over trade issues along the frontier.  Neither Empire had fully recovered from the cost of the first war and this war ended with a new treaty by S.D. 397.
S.D. 406 Third Henor War- The Empire's finest hour.  A surprise offensive by the Henor Empire drove the Terran Forces back to Earth, marking the final time Earth was actually attacked by aliens.  Empress Sarah (the Stalwart) refused to yield and rallied the Terran Empire to a counter offensive- aided by exiled Muslm and Jewish groups who viewed the Henor as a threat to their existence as well.  By 409 the Imperial forces had driven the Henor back to their original frontiers and with both sides exhausted a new treaty was signed ending this war.  The Terran Empire again allows non-Christians within its borders.
S.D. 431 Fourth (aka Final) Henor War- Declaring war on an admittedly flimsy pretext, the Terran Imperial forces ultimately crushed the Henor Empire.  Credit for the Terran Empire's final victory went to Empress Sarah the Stalwart for her decades long  efforts to fully arm and equip the Terran military in anticipation of this war.
S.D. 1902  Empress Hannah the IVth decrees English as the official language of the Terran Imperial Empire simultaneously banning obscenities.  The Imperial High Court issued a key ruling in Flynt v. Falwell, (S.D.1904) permitting the continual use of foreign terms for which no adequate English translation existed, leading to the inevitable logic that given all English obscenities were malum prohibitum no English translation existed for these foreign terms and thus they were permitted.
S.D. 1960-1987 The Ckilertz Wars were against a xenophobic race that relied primarily on attacks against 'soft' targets, mainly striking at civilian population centers.  Their most successful(?) attack came in 1983 with the elimination of the entire population of Verlon, a core Imperial system.  Final Imperial victory only came with the elimination of the Ckilertz race, though rumors persist that some of them escaped to the outer reaches of the galaxy and are awaiting the right time for their revenge.
S.D. 2107 Emperor Daniel the Bold leads Imperial Forces into Battle against the Msu.  This was the last time an Imperial Emperor (or heir apparent) personally lead forces into battle.  In academic circles controversy still rages over why 'Daniel the Bold' instead of 'Daniel the Daring', the best treatment of this topic was Ian Heilor's bestseller, "So They didn't Bother with a Thesaurus."
S.D.  2359 Second Interstellar War begins as the Empire engages in a further round of expansion, encroaching on numerous alien races and simultaneously provoking wars on numerous fronts.
S.D. 2368 Birth of the Galactic Republic on Taratupa, conclusion of Second Interstellar war with Empire/Republican forces forced to cede most of the disputed systems.
S.D. 2451 First Great Revival- The Republic embraces the Christian faith as the foundation of good and moral government.
S.D. 2473 The First Great Migration- The Republic expels all alien races from within its boundaries.
S.D. 2492 Second Great Revival- The Republic standardizes the Christian Faith, settling on a single version of scriptures including the Old and New Testament as well as selected works by Tolkien,
S.D. 2561 The Second Great Migration- The Republic expels all non-Christians from within its boundaries.
S.D. 2680 Gold Sector Rebellion- An independence faction-mostly concerned with trade restrictions-  attempts to break away from the Republic.  Rebellion put down by 2685.
S.D. 2695 Warp drive developed, finally allowing starships to exceed the Gordon Limit.
S.D.  2722 Sam Hall born.
