Personality: Many find themselves surprised when they learn that Liege Aquila is a cheerful, animated and bubbly person, considering their very expansive vocabulary, deep echoing voice and tall appearance. She is sweet, compassionate, always willing to help and talk with anyone, even themselves, for he does not appreciate silence and tends to fill it with humming, tapping, talking- to himself or someone else, whether they are actively listening or not. They are very spiritual and religious, often meditating and are surprisingly pacifistic, preferring to solve problems with communication and reason instead of fighting and shouting. Understanding and forgiving but knows where to draw the line, to protect his own and other's self-respect, knows when he must use his talons to strike down a foe if they continue to cause harm despite the warnings and diplomatic disposition.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Element: Aquila has one element- Wind- under the highest level of Guardian, perfected to its smallest details. The strength of her Wind can reach 12 on Beafourt scale, a hurricane wind. They can manipulate its strength, from the slightest breezes and provocative nudges to tornadoes and immediate dismissals.
    • Wind Breath- A strong just of wind created from his mouth, usually the most straightforward technique at clearing, blowing away or even sucking people and objects closer, linear and with clear direction, requires little focus.
    • Wind Manipulation- The act of manipulating the air with mind or body movements only, Aquila can lift objects in a telekinesis of sorts, levitate herself and others, create wind currents to blow away/suck in, speed themselves or slow others down, change its direction for whatever reason, even create tornadoes or combining them with water or fire to create dangerous cyclones and infernos.
    • Wind Slash- Wind concentrated in small space, thin yet brimming with power, quick and lethal, it slashes through bodies, rocks, trees and mineral like through butter.
  • Grandmaster Sorcerer- As a Zangonian, Aquila trained from birth in sorcery like the rest of her countrymen and the status of a Mymisian Heir only strengthened their desire to improve, becoming the highest percentage of sorcerers. His magic is deadly dangerous, it can uproot entire trees and hills throw them at distance, teleport multiple times and quite far away, create impenetrable shields and so on.
  • Peak Physical Condition and Grandmaster Combatant- Almost perfect physical condition due to decades of rigorous training and special diet, they can hold their own well in a psychical fight but their speed and agility is where they shine, evading foes and striking them in vulnerable points when they let down their guard.
  • Genius-level intellect- Aquila is a Monarch heavily educated from early age in manners of military strategy, law enforcement, laws in general, in-depth medicine and others, not to mention developed amazing perception, attention to detail, quick thinking and deduction.

Backstory: Aquila was born in Divine Sellatty of Zangon, growing up in a loving family and supportive, happy community. She was raised to be kind, respectful, polite, spiritual and was taught sorcery like everyone else. They were happy and content with their life, but as he grew into his teenage years, he developed something few of Zangonians had, an interest in the outer world. Zangon is the most magical place on the planet, most protected but also isolated, little scathed from the war and protecting themselves but offering little to their allies. Aquila felt shame in their country for this, believing they grew to look too inwards, and their expressed this thought to the Divine Sellatte, Master Verrest himself, at a dinner he had with her tribe after he noticed his silence and distance. Verrest was secretly intrigued and even proud of this mindset and knew the child, despite his age, was very thorough in their thought and arguments, for it was no fantasy nor a joke. A few days later, her aunt, her tribe's leader, informed her that she was to have an official audience with the Sellatte where Verrest asked him if he is so concerned about the outer world, would he help them himself? After thinking about it for a few minutes, they answered yes. Verrest grinned and said that could be arranged. He had close contact with the Monarchs in the kingdom north of them, Mymis, and that their Eastern Crown chose multiple Heirs based on their element, that Aquila could be enlisted as a Potential Wind Apprentice. Aquila was taken aback at this request, not expecting immediate action, but agreed nonetheless, for they stood behind their words. And the first few months in Mymis were not easy, such different culture, customs and people made him overwhelmed and homesick, but Guardians, people originating from all cultures, personalities, states of mind and life adapted to and for him easily, accepting him for who he was immediately, which made it easier for her to adapt to and for them as well, encouraged to learn about theirs and speak about her own culture. More than anything, they saw progress Monarchs and the entire Mymis made in war, they were far more effected and faced much more tragedies, but they took a stand and fought instead of just defending, which caused them to stay permanently and rise to the honor of bearing the crown themselves. They never abandoned her native culture and beliefs and still practices and teaches about their customs, still loving Zangon as their home, but now Mymis as well. Who said you can't have two after all?

Fun facts:

  • Voice Actor: Jennifer Hale youtu.be/7fauk4PGSvQ?t=66
  • Much taller than an average dragon their age
  • They are a vegetarian, per the customs of Zangon and are squeamish in discussions or actions of slaughtering animals. They accepted it's necessary but prefer not to be present for it
  • He was the last to become an Apprentice, somewhere at the age of 15-17
  • I feel like she tends to help others a bit too much and doesn't address or admit her own problems, doubts and struggles often
  • Their best friend and QP partner is Rea, they are inseparable, deeply trusting and loving towards each other. I like to think Rea's husband, Irenario, and them may also be QPPs, in a big poly pile
  • He is exceedingly proud of his Apprentice Ventos, and is honored to have him as his Heir. I wouldn't say their relationship is fully parent-son, but it is deeper than that of just a master-student. He knows Ventos isn't the best at emotions and conversations so they tend to have pleasant silent times together, or, with Ven's permission, Akie chattering his heart away as Ven happily listens- or if it serves him as a background noise. Despite this, Aquila has never held back his praise towards Ventos and always makes sure to tell him how he feels genuinely, how prodigious and skilled he is, which always causes a small, timid smile on Ventos' face. I like to this he affectionately calls Ventos "my dear boy"
  • Their surname means 'sky eye' in Zangonian, referencing the deep blue color of their eyes
  • They are claustrophobic to an extent, not liking closed spaces and outright panicking if in a small, confided space, instinctively doing everything they can to get out. They prefer open windows and fresh air, staying in one room with closed room and windows (or worse, no windows) for too long causes them to be anxious and restless
  • And also, she doesn't like to sit still for too long, preferring to be on the move. They are not hyperactive by any means, but standing, walking is preferable to them than sitting, especially if they're doing something boring while sitting. As such, they prefer doing the teaching, trainings, inspections and meeting over boring paperwork
  • Even after decades in it, he still finds Mymis- especially central- a little tiring, as he grew up fully in nature, so fully urban life Is, while now familiar, still uncomfortable to an extent and he doesn't like staying in it too long if he has a choice, relishing the fact his Palace is on the outskirts of Mymis
  • She adores learning, both by reading but much more through interaction and her own experience, all from natural subjects like biology, physics and chemistry, to social ones like sociology, history and philosophy
  • ^This makes her close to Searus, in more ways than just studying, learning and debating for hours on end, but also in their shared interest in magic (nervousness evaporated from teen Aquila when she met the famed Sorcerer when she first came to Mymis)
