Description
Client wanted to create a Sister of Battle-themed army, Daughters of Fenris. More specifically, she wanted a portrait of their sister superior equivalent, Styrlaug. The Daughters of Fenris are named after the Space Wolf's home star system, but largely pull from what remains of the fighting populations of Svellgard, Frostheim, and displaced survivors of Midgardia. There are rumors of women of Fenrisian lineage in the order, but this is not substantiated.
While the Daughters of Fenris emulate the combat doctrines of their Sororitas contemporaries, Ecclessiarchial religious doctrine has been so heavily filtered by Fenrisian superstitions and rituals, leaving behind a militant, shamanistic order of All-Father and spirit worshipping soldiers.
Despite eschewing the Sororitas rites, their close association with Fenris and the supernatural volatility of Fenris after the Warzone Fenris campaign has allowed the Daughters of Fenris to perform miracles similar to their contemporaries. The nature and source of these supernatural powers are not fully understood, but efforts to investigate are heavily discouraged by the Grey Knights and the Ordo Malleus, deeming it of 'least concern'.
