I don't do adopts very often like AT ALL but when I do... I go all the way :\

"HEART HUNTERS" is my own closed species that I'm working on right now. I haven't done the guide yet but it's in the making.

I recommend reading about the species before you read about the character! But for those of you who aren't interested, I'll put the species description in the end.

"RAINCOAT GUY"

Rare Heart hunter, an outcast, half human. Lives in an abandoned building outside of town, near forest area. Hates humans and other heart hunters who live amongst them. Lost his left eye during a hunt. Goes hunting every 7 days. Requires 2 hearts to survive. (read "about the species" below)

Terrifyingly calm and cold on the outside, but an emotional roller coaster on the inside. His father was murdered by humans, which led to him killing his own human mother and taking her heart when he was only 6 years old, because she couldn't hunt and provide like his father used to. He thought his mother was pathetic for not being able to take care of him, and considering the fact that humans killed his father, his hatred towards human race grew even stronger.

He often wears a plastic bag over his head. One of the reasons behind it is to cover his face from getting blood stains. But the main purpose is that he won't have to "breathe" the same air as humans, which is ironic, as he doesn't need to breathe. The only purpose is to show hostility and spite. He also wears his raincoat hood instead, but there's no metaphor behind it.

He used to have a name, but doesn't remember it anymore and refuses to get a new one, because having a name means being even more similar to humans, which is unacceptable. So he simply goes by "the raincoat guy", even though whenever he meets someone, they don't make it back home to tell their friends about him. So he doesn't really need a name anyway.

Very lonely and would like to keep it that way, even though at times he feels like he could use a friend. Once went searching for others like him, but ended up almost getting killed. Wants to give it another try though.

Despite hating humans, he enjoys literature. Owns over 700 books of various genres and spends all of his time reading about the world he lives in.

ABOUT THE SPECIES:

Heart hunters come from a parallel universe, through a wormhole. They can't go back as the wormhole was shut down soon after. Heart Hunters visually resemble humans, but they don't have lungs or digestive system, don't need to eat or breathe, and their only means to survive is a human heart. Heart hunters can't feel emotions unless obtain a heart. One heart lasts up to 5 days, needs a replacement after. If a heart isn’t replaced within that period, a heart hunter becomes depressed, apathetic, tired, doesn’t want to exist, and dies within 10 days. Stolen heart is placed into the chest area, which is called "a stomach".

Distinctive features: heart hunters don’t have lungs, breasts and their chest has teeth/claws. Sharp teeth in their actual mouth are meant for hunting, not consuming. Heart hunters also have long nails similar to claws, but most of them cut them off because they prefer human weapons for hunting. Colorful hair, always has a gradient. (except for the rare spesimen) Their hair gets white if the heart isn’t replaced in 7 days. One of the signs that a heart hunter is close to death.

When most heart hunters can bear living with humans, the others despise them to the point that they wear plastic bags over their head as a sign that they don’t want to breath the same air with humans. (this applies to RARE spesimen mostly) However, there are very few heart hunters who choose to do that, and they normally live away from society. Others try to blend in to be able to survive amongst human species and live a normal life. But If their real identity is revealed they are taken into custody and sentenced to death.

Average heart hunter only has one "stomach" and only needs one heart, when RARE heart hunters have two "stomachs" and require two hearts to survive, which makes them two times more emotional than a normal heart hunter. They normally can't control their temper and can't adapt into the human society, so they are forced to live outside of it like outcasts. Rare heart hunters despise humans and other heart hunters who live amongst them and they kill everyone they face. Rare spesimen are half human. It's very unlikely for the two species to have a child together, but there's a 3% chance of success. It normally doesn't end well though.

Heart hunters have a reproductive system similar to humans.

Heart hunters can live forever as long as they keep hunting for hearts.
