I hate when it appears in my "Arts for me" folder. Have some respect and don't remove artwork you made for other people no matter how much you think it sucks or because you are moving... -.-

Storage allows an artist to keep track of images that they don't want in their galleries anymore. Artists who get stolen from often can use stored deviations as evidence of being the original artist, and I use storage when I'm tired of an image but want to hang onto the concept/character for future reference.
It's also useful for deviants who have "quit" but may come back some day - that way all their art is still there, but they won't be flooded with feedback messages.

Yeah, stored deviations used to just not show up - apparently it's a glitch that they show up anymore, but one that hasn't been fixed

I very rarely use storage option. I prefer to remove deviation completely than put into storage.

You're right. I only fave something I want to see again...I'm picky about what I Fave. So it pisses me off when I see THAT in my Faves. All you can do it just hide it , you can't unfave it. (That might not be a bad thing....in case it comes back out of storage. But rarely do they.) Also art thieves are putting their evidence in storage now too...I don't think Admins can see them. So...no evidence of theft. A loophole.
I hope I just didn't give any thieves-to-be any IDEAS...

I think you can delete them from your fav-list by clicking on the little arrow on the right side of the thumbail and then choose "Remove from this folder" or something like that x3

But that art thieves put their evidences in storage is really a problem O.o
To be honest I've never seen one doing this so you might have gven some the idea now lol xP
But I'm sure admins can see the picture if there's a reason like art theft :3.

I do that too. I'm glad we have that option.
I've been trying to get admins attention for one who's been stealing for at least a year (he doesn't seem to understand English, can hardly type it) and he was suspended for art theft/prints. Then he came back with "business as usual" with celeb photos I know he didn't take. (not selling them anyway) So all his stuff is in "storage". He's not as stupid as he wants us to think he is. It's frustrating.
I HOPE admins can see storage. Or else art theft reporting has hit a HUGE new obstacle besides Third Party reporting.

I always report in when I see an art theft and I think at least 90% of all my reports were successful x3
I love it to search for the originals and eveything hehe It feels good reporting bad people >

Awwwh it's awful xD But yeah I agree, not many people (as far as I'm aware) look in scraps anyway. So the artist doesn't have the piece in their gallery and the fave-r can still have it in their faves for their viewing pleasure, everyone's happy!

Well I think it can be helpful sometimes but it's annoying that people abuse the feature for saving their pageviews and favs's instead of deleting it completely :C

That is when you "delete" a deviation whitout losing the favs, pageviews and so on xD
And you can always get it back from storage but almost noone does this
I haven't tried it yet so that's all I can tell you about it xD
It's just annoying when you browse through your favorite deviations and then many of these "Deviation in Storage" signs appear xP
