I'm working on commissions and more story-driven stuff, I promise.ΒBut... I literally couldn't let this idea go. I woke up with this idea in my head, and I HAD to get it out or else I wouldn't be able to concentrate.
MySims is a game I hold very dearly to my heart. It's cute, it's fun, it's addictive as hell, and overall it was a massive part of my childhood (though personally Agents is my favorite so sksksk). I'll never stop loving it.
ALSO I JUST WANNA DRAW MY SMELLY JESTER BOY
Oh yeah! And this was another thin line test.
Don't look at Preston too closely, otherwise the truth may come out...

Took the "solid block of color" tool in FireAlpaca (I'm sure it has a normal name but... ehhhh)
Made a bg layer
Made an orange rectangle, and put "Protect Alpha" on
Added waves of color going up to the top, with these colors sequentially being slightly lighter and closer to yellow on the color wheel to make a pseudo-gradient effect
Gave the boy a shadow by taking the transparent PNG of him standing there, clipping it to the bg layer, coloring it a dark reddish color, setting the layer to Multiply, and shifting it to the right... and possibly skewing it a little.
And boom! Just like that
I'm not familiar enough with Paint.net to determine whether what I said was possible but... hey
