Happy 10th anniversary, Transformers Prime

On 26 September 2010, the pilot episode of TFP was aired. It pulled me into the TF fandom, heightened my interest for animation & character design and my love for storytelling.

Words cannot describe how important TFP has impacted my life. Till this day I remain amazed at the attention to detail and mature storytelling. I will never forget the first time I saw TFP on TV by coincidence around 2011, thinking I was watching an animated movie and not a series. I was completely drawn and immersed by the characters, cinematography, realistic animation, and the rest is history.

TFP prompted me to draw robots for the first time. My first attempts were in 2013/2015, but I only regularly started drawing robots in 2017. Never had I imagined that me, a (cartoony) creature artist, would turn to drawing robots, something way out of my comfort zone. Turns out, I quite enjoyed it despite the difficulties! I'm still learning and have a lot to improve, but thanks to TF I also developed a greater passion for mecha art and designed my own robot OCs. I got interested in the animation industry and thanks to TFP, it encouraged me to study in an animation course in college for 3 years, learning so much and discovering more about myself as an artist.

It's hard to believe TFP is already a decade old. Time flies so quickly and even now, the quality still holds up well - TFP has won and been nominated for several Daytime Emmy Awards, captured the hearts of many fans, young and old alike. Yes, TFP isn't perfect and has its flaws, mostly due to budget issues which resulted in forcefully writing off characters and subpar/rushed plots in later seasons, but I still enjoyed the series as a whole. It's one of my all-time favourite series along with Transformers Animated (and MTMTE/LL for comics).
